OK, maybe our volunteer dated herself when she named this pigeon SkaterBoi after the song, but this handsome bird really is a spunky guy with a true rags to riches story! SkaterBoi is a pigeon racing survivor who was so weak and emaciated he wasn't able to avoid being hit by a car in downtown Chicago on Lake Shore Drive. Fortunately he was spotted by a young man on a skateboard who scooped up this frail pigeon, called for an uber, and rushed SkaterBoi to the care of our rescue! SkaterBoi is now a strong, sassy pigeon who adores his adoptive mom.
